We will be at the Early Childhood Conference

The Early Childhood Ireland Conference takes place this month and we are thrilled to be included for the second year.  The Conference this year will explore \"Play on the Brain\".  As we all know children are wired to play.  It is how they learn about their environment, develop personal skills and relationships. 

So how does Stretch-n-Grow help children in their early stages of development.  Our classes have used physical play since the first classes started back in 1992.  Our weekly adventures whisk children away to far away lands or into deep space.  They play with wild animals or huge sea monsters.  They travel on trains, planes, hot air balloons or speeding cars.  The fun element of the classes means children don\'t know they are learning.  They are using fun, colourful props to assist them on their adventure and in turn develop their movement skills, both fine and gross.  

Physical activity or play is important for our health and well-being and it is also important in terms of our ability to learn.  Learning is based on sensory-motor experience therefore through exploring the environment children are able to learn about - Their Body; Planning and Organising Movements; Interpreting thing they see and hear.
