Early Childhood Ireland will hold their Annual Conference on Saturday 5th April, in Croke Park and this year's conference is entitled "Happy Healthy Able.... Are Irish Children Fit for Life?"
Earlier this year Stretch-n-Grow held a meeting with Early Childhood Ireland, to discuss how we could assist them in their work with pre-schools across Ireland. We were delighted to be invited to attend their Annual Conference, particularly as they want to focus the spotlight on the growing concern about the well-being, physical and mental health of young children. We regularly hear and see much in the media at the moment about the inactivity levels of children, their sedentary behaviours and ever increasing obesity levels.
Since 1992 Stretch-n-Grow's goal has been to give children a healthy exercise and nutrition foundation on which to build their future life habits, from the earliest possible age. Our weekly classes at pre-schools and schools provide children with fun, active exercise classes which introduce them to all the components of fitness and educate them on their well-being, including the importance of good food choices.
