Halloween is just around the corner, so how do we keep it safe and still have lots of fun! Follow these simple suggestions and parents and children will have a great time and hopefully there wont be tears before bedtime.
SAFE HALLOWEEN
S - Swords and spikey toys for dressing up should be short and flexible, so no one gets hurt.
A - Avoid trick or treating alone. Go with a group and always with an adult.
F - Fasten reflective tape or high vis items to clothing or bags so drivers can see you.
E - Examine all treats before eating them. You maybe allergic to some ingredients.
H - Hold a torch to others can see you and you can see where you are walking.
A - Always test makeup and remove it fully before bedtime.
L - Look both ways when crossing the road. Excited children can run from house to house very quickly.
L - Lower the risk of injury by not wearing unsuitable clothing or masks that restrict your eyesight or movement.
O - Only walk on footpaths.
W - Wear comfortable footwear to avoid tripping or falling.
E - Eat only wrapped treats. If wrapping open throw away.
E - Enter houses only if with an adult you know and trust and the house is well lit.
N - Never go off with someone else or accept a lift in a car.
The house is decorated, the treats are bought, so really looking forward to seeing some great kids trick or treating on Halloween night.
